1985 - Chuck Cornwell passes required real estate licensing classes and state examination. Started full time in real estate sales with Mount Vernon Realty.
1987 - Helen O’Rourke (soon to become Helen Cornwell) passes required real estate licensing classes and state examination. Started full time in real estate sales with Mount Vernon Realty.
1988 - Helen and Chuck were married and became business partners. They continued extending their real estate successes, gaining additional knowledge of the real estate industry and successful marketing techniques.
Thru the 80's and into the 90's - Recession tightens the real estate market and the REALTOR population drops significantly. Chuck and Helen continue to analyze their real estate business with the market changes and introduce new, advanced marketing and business support methods. Each year, as the market slipped, their personal productivity and income increased.
1992 - Not only did Chuck and Helen celebrate the creation of RE/MAX Regency, but they also celebrated the birth of their first child, Kenny.
Thru the 90's - RE/MAX Regency becomes a big success. Additional technological equipment is employed to further enhance services, including advanced communications, text messaging equipment, computer and networking equipment. Awarded Rookie Broker/Owner of the Year by RE/MAX Central Atlantic and Broker of the Year by the Greater Piedmont area Association of REALTORS. Helen earns her GRI and CRS designations, earns a position in the top ½ of one percent of all real estate agents across the nation, and is named in REAL TRENDS "Who’s Who in Residential Real Estate". Continued building personal real estate sales by employing a team and introducing creative "out of the box" marketing campaigns.
1997 - As Chuck and Helen continue to celebrate their successes in their real estate endeavors, they also celebrate the adoption of our second child, Christine. With Christine joining the family, they reassess their goals and life direction. Time to focus more on the company and enhance support to the Associates, less on personal real estate sales.
Thru the 90's and into 00's - Chuck and Helen continue to build on RE/MAX Regency’s services and support for its Associates. Developed a title company, EnTitle Settlement Services, and opened two offices. Continued building RE/MAX Regency’s market share position and achieved #1 position in comparison to all other local real estate offices.
